Snapshot of August

Can't believe August is nearly over. We have been busy with preparations for the school concert(pictures to come)Science Week and Sir TP's 8th birthday. Spooky is the theme and I will talk about that later also.
For science week ourfamily made a paper mache volcano. I assembled all the bits, Miss B and Sir TP glued the paper mache Miss B painted the water and grass and Sir TP the lava. Dad well he read the newspaper and found us some old brushes. We now love paper mache and have also made a Ghost Pinata for our party --SPOOKY.

A highlight of this month was Little Miss B winning her first blog giveaway. We are both big fans of Bella and Blythe and together we follow Bellas crafting adventures and it gives us ideas. Miss B and I have been saving up our laundry money in hope of getting our first Blythe doll very soon (I have been haunting ebay). We have also been sewing up little bits n pieces to make her feel welcome when she arrives. Miss B was delighted her comments were picked to win the giveaway and even more delighted when her little parcel arrived in the post.

So a big thankyout to Bella and her mum for making the sun shine on a rainy day.

One other photo for the month this is Washday Winnie from January Homespun (or my version). I made her using some dutch fabric I received from my swap partner/angel last year. She is keeping my Rocker warm for the time being.
Bye for Now

July Update

July saw us go overseas as a family for the first time to New Zealand. 2 weeks in a camper van and a good time was had by all. Snow, boiling mud, volcanoes and adventures. We came home tired and relaxed.

Time flies when you are having fun and boy have we been busy. So I have decided to try and do a few updates for my friends just so they know I haven’t given up on blog land and that I am still crafting albeit slowly

May was devoted to celebrating hubby turning 40 this photo says it all. We gave hubby a party and a half day rally experience. This was his face after a hot lap with an experienced Rally driver.
