Quilt Fabric Delight

Sarah from Quilt Fabric delights is running The Bagalicious Club this year. I have felt so left out by missing the Pin Cushion of the Month and The Stitchery of the Month that I had to sign up for this and I do need some more bags. This fabric has been catching my Eye from Sarah's shop at the moment It is called Del Hi (hope I got that right) but if you pop over you will understand why it took me a week to work out a favourite she has lots of bright colourful eye candy to salivate over. You can use the link on my Bag icon to the right.

Wattle

My first finish for the year is this doll Wattle a birthday present for my Aunty who is an Australia day baby. She is from January Homespun magazine last year and she made up so well. The kids even helped me by making the modeling clay into gum leaves for her bouquet. I hope she will be appreciated in her new home.

Waiting for the Bagalicious club

This post is for Sarah at Quilt Fabric Delight. She was wondering what she would find if she hand delivered her parcel to me. Wel Sir Tp is occupied but Divine Miss B and Me are sitting waiting for anything to arrive in the post so this is what she would find. Of course by the time Sarahs first post out hits our verandah it will be just me sitting on the verandah Miss B will be enjoying her first few weeks at school and I will be missing her.

OPAM

I am so pleased to have been accepted to be part of this challenge again this year - how many projects can you finish when you write them down it is so inspiring. I dont expect to finish much this month - it is above 40 degrees today again and far too hot to do anything. The kids are hot the air conditioning is struggling and I have done some work on my redwork Christmas but only slow progress - sigh

January

This is the wonderful Christmas decoration from my swap partner in Chooky Blues Secret Santa. A wonderful angel in a quilted dress - it came with apologies as it wasn't handmade but was sucha generous little gift and so beautiful. I have been admiring this range of decorations from afar for some time so it was nice to get one and who knows it could be the start of a little collection. My main gift is pictured below a long tablerunner which has spent Christmas/ New year on my Piano stool this year giving it a nice festive feel. A huge thankyou to Karen for my beautiful gift and to Chooky Blue for organising this wonderful festive fun as to my gift. Well it has arrived but the photos I took happened to be whilst there was no memory card in the camera and then I posted them oops. I will aim to do better in the future so sorry Chooky but I am hopeful my swap partner will post a picture I could borrow to put on my blog soon.
